Let's Predict Fashion's Future- Spring/Summer 2011 Part 7

Trend #7: Masculine Tailor Wear

Sloppy formal wear is the way to go with Michael Kors

This ensemble by Dries Van Noten is more feminine with a cinched in waist.

In my opinion, I embrace feminity in fashion but mixing it with a tinge of masculinity does give an edgy look which is great.

Let's Predict Fashion's Future: Spring/Summer 2011

Trend #6 White!

This beautiful ensemble is by Dolce & Gabanna. These angelic dresses embellished with crystals are fit for a princess.

With white being such a neutral colour, it can be worn in different ways. Reed Krakoff went for a more urban and sporty look as compared to D&G's.

Let's Predict Fashion's Future: Spring/Summer 2011 Part 5

Trend #5:  Loud Prints!

Not just animal prints, we're talking fruity, floral, stripes, even monkey prints that are all vibrant in colours!

Prada's collection
Yes that is a banana infested dress and yes that top had monkey motifs

Stella McCartney adds in a citrusy fruit basket into her design. Very Summery indeed.

Let's Predict Fashion's Future: Spring/Summer 2011 Part 4

Trend  #4: Nude!

Versace added some woven fringes to this dress to compliment its "barely there" ensemble
Haider Ackerman goes for a bolder look with this trend even though nude is not even close to being a bold colour but he Haider Ackerman made it work in this drapey rather abstract dress.

Remember: Alexander Mcqueen

Let's remember Alexander Mcqueen today on his 1st death anniversary- 11th February 2011
His lively and ever so daring approach to fashion will never be forgotten, his fashion house will still live up to his name. I am sure he will always be a renowned top fashion designer. I can't wait to get my hands on his MAC collection on Ebay.

Let's Predict Fashion's Future- Spring/Summer 2011 Part 3

But of course this will make its come back again...

Trend #3 Denim!
Stella McCartney's Spring/Summer 2011 show
Stella McCartney styled this piece in a minimalist manner yet it looks so chic.
Note how theres no accessories!

Derek Lam

Derek Lam takes a smart approach to this trend by styling it as a formal piece, very ironic.

Would you include denim, always known to be casual, in your formal wear?

Marc Jacob's Spring/Summer 2011 Show
It's all about oversized accessories and satin with Marc Jacob

and Louis Vuitton agrees no less with this trend...
Louis Vuitton's oriental theme collection still had a 70s taste to it with crystals and fringes hanging off this suit.

Grab your John Lennon-esque shades, wear your embroidery smothered pants and you're ready to go!
